1/8/2024 0 Comments Will hytale kill minecraftObviously it could be nice if it was done, but would it be worth the time, when the time could also be spent adding new features to the mod? I doubt it. Is Hytale like Minecraft On a fundamental level, its all very reminiscent of Minecraft Hytale unfolds in a. I mean things like poison, wither, strength effect, fall damage, burning, AoE effects, armor and weapons (I think moving the combat system might be rather big job) No Hytale will prbably not kill Minecraft. And also some minecraft features might not exist in Hytale, or might work very differently. Then also it would require completely rewriting the mod, and hytale uses significantly more detailed textures, which would either mean using textures that are completely out of place, or recreating every single texture in the mod. In an official FAQ, Hytale’s developers assure fans that there are going to be no major changes to the. Then, from what I have seen, it won't be as blocky as minecraft, which will also make it more confusing to people who are only expecting improved minecraft. A Minecraft-inspired take on sandbox games will certainly help fill out that portfolio. Then they will have hard time changing their minds about Hytale anymore, when it gets lots of content. Then also there won't be enough content in Hytale to attract players from the start, and players will eventually return to minecraft. A major reason there will be that minecraft is significantly older, and hytale will be seen as a copy of it. I don't believe hytale will ever really become as popular as minecraft. Anyway, I’m curious what people here think about Hytale, so here are a few polls: Hytale will not kill Minecraft this is a stupid question considering that Minecraft is still the most popular game (in the amout of people buying / playing it) and it is mainly aimed at kids now also Minecraft Education is in school and it's constantly being updated. Minecraft is so hugely popular that it will be hard to dethrone it (though certainly not impossible). It seems to share a lot of the basic gameplay, but also looks like a distinctly different style, at least from the trailer. However, it’s not considered a ripoff of Minecraft because it has unique features. Hytale is inspired deliberately by Minecraft. Riot Games offered funding and assistance and later acquired the studio. The game was released for Microsoft Windows in 2021. So I highly doubt the mod team would start over and do that (though that’s just my personal opinion).Īs to whether or not Hytale will even be a significant competitor to Minecraft also remains to be seen. The developers of the Minecraft multiplayer server, Hypixel started production in 2015. Almost everything would need to be redone to fit the style. Hytale would certainly mean a total start from scratch, and not for the code but also probably most textures and models and all of the content. We can’t really say that Hytale seems quite good at this point, or that Minecraft is dying (people have been saying that as long as I can remember). It could be interesting, but it very well might not come to anything. Im just curious and hope Minecraft doesnt die but Im also curious about what you hardcore Minecraft fans think and if Hytale will really kill Minecraft. At this point I think it’s way too early to say anything definitively about Hytale. It might put a serious dent in it, but it wont get kids on consoles or phones or weak laptops. Hytale will probably do fewer things, but those fewer things it'll do better. Many people in the Minecraft community have said that "Minecraft is going to die, Hytale is Minecraft 2 and waay better" which I can understand coming from the pvp players perspective as they seem to focus on good control of the servers and other stuff but from your survival and builder player its not so attractive In my opinion but I would love to see a more community/pvp focused game that is similar to Minecraft but Im not sure about the building and survival aspect if there is any at all. It paints a different picture than minecraft, a game that can run on anything and most of those have cross play. I really dont want to see this game die but I would also like something similar and a bit different in the market to try which is Hytale. Ever since my purchase in 2013 on the xbox 360 and now the java edition I have had so many fond memories of this game which have really marked my childhood with all the good memories in the past and whenever I hop on the game.
